Absolutely don't agree. Sure, Mysql mostly became very popular with the rise of PHP in the early 2000's, but Postgres was popular in many less visible industries. In my 'world', MySQL was seen as an amateur database engi

In my (limited) powershell experience, it's a "scripting first" shell, while bash is more of a a cli-first shell. Using a powershell cli is very verbose (although pretty consistent), but using it without some sort of GUI help

I've not looked into D yet, but not having a GCC or LLVM backend is imho not necessarily an advantage, and in many cases even a disadvantage. The simple toolchain is one of the reasons I quite like Go...

Not only that, with wsl2 on windows being in the mainline windows, developers have a very good alternative. I don't this is a coincidence... Running actual PHP servers on windows is a rarity, and not worth it to support it officially o

I'm not talking about consultancy fees. I'm only talking about Redhat licenses for OpenShift and its support contracts. I'm also a freelance consultant mainly focused on OpenShift and k8s, my bill is separate.
