Spacechem was the best game I've ever played on an iPad, it suited the form factor perfectly. It's a real shame Zactronics dropped support for iOS [0]. FTL also works well and the touch controls are reminiscent of Star Trek's

I think a lot of it is helped by the way MacOS works. You’ve got an Applications directory in which each app is listed as a monolithic package (or in a sub directory for built-in things like the terminal). Windows has various locations wher

Windows always strikes me as a mishmash of ideas with very little overarching vision. A somewhat superfluous example of this is the branding of basic system tools; you have things like Task Manager, Device Manager, Disk Management etc. On V

High Sierra was lots of new changes under tho hood whereas Snow Leopard was lots of improvements to existing stuff. High Sierra switches solid state drives to the new APFS file system and the WindowServer is now rewritten to use Metal2. So

Text selection on iOS can indeed be a pain, particularly in Safari where it seems to lock onto html divs ignoring your selection and jump to the entire paragraph. On iPads and 3D Touch iPhones things are generally a lot better outside safar

One of the reasons I gave up on New Scientist. We would be much better served by more in-depth articles that don’t claim to ‘change everything’ but instead inform.

There are various apps on the App Store. The data is available in a public API. I won’t recommend any particulat App because I don’t trust any of them.

Geekbench CPU scores from the release iPhone 7 running iOS 10 show scores of around 3400/5500. My 14 month old iPhone 7 running 11.2 reports around 3500/5900. So no slow down on this model. Battery capacity it as 87%.
