Everything? It's a Hyper-V virtual machine hence how it can run Android's Linux kernel & HALs. It's not doing ARM emulation as well, but it's still an emulator at heart.

Are you not using an x86 emulator or something? Forget to install or enable your CPU virtualization extensions? Because the emulator ain't sluggish, and if it is you'd get that same sluggishness with WSA since it's largely th

WebGPU can't fill any need that GL, DirectX, or Vulkan can't. WebGPU isn't a native GPU API, but an abstraction over existing ones. As such its feature set is only ever at best comparable, but in practice will always be worse

The context of this thread is lossless webp, there aren't any compression artifacts to deal with. Go try the math out, the theoretical is higher than 9 bits but 8.5-9 bit equivalent is very achievable in practice. With two lossless 8 b

No, you don't want that. You want your windowing system & UI/graphics layers working in display native range (see eg, Apple's EDR). The consistency of appearance of the SDR range is too important to leave it up to unknown

For things where you actually care about lossless you probably also don't care about HDR. HDR is (or can be) good for video & photography, but it's absolutely ass for UI. Besides, you can just throw a gainmap approach at it if

Not really, this is just the downside of using larger, more capable CPUs is that they have higher power consumption. It's the same problem Apple has as well, it's not like it's a Qualcomm-specific problem.
