Android's WebView is Chrome, process sandboxing & all. Unless the Contacts app injected a JS handler, which we have no evidence of, then it's no less secure than Chrome is.

Is parental lock really "security-related" ? Like it's a frustrating response to this valid bug report, but it's not really a security risk here, either. You don't actually bypass the lock screen or anything.

The MacOS compositor already has different buffers for every window. It could stream updates of those buffers and do final composition on the AVP instead. But likely out of simplicity it seems like they just opted to use a generic, preexist

It takes substantially more effort to put it on than it does to "boot up" And while it may sound weird that putting it on is such an ordeal, keep in mind that there's a lot of inherently fiddly bits and many have compromises.

The 3090 is 21% faster than a 4070, so with the 4070 SUPER having 20% more cuda cores than a 4070 then that's plausible. But it's really more a reflection on how shitty the 4070 was than anything else tbh

The 4080/4090 are outliers of the generation though unfortunately, and also are themselves still a rather typical generational gain at that. Most of the rest of the 40xx stack was either unexpectedly slow or unexpectedly expensive (or

Since crypto has crashed so much and most of these are borderline useless for AI/ML, there's not likely to be too much of an issue. The MSRP is already massively marked up.

VAAPI is also using the GPU. The fixed-function video decoders are on the GPUs, not the CPU. That just happens to be using the iGPU on Intel so you don't need a discreet GPU necessarily, but this is also missing if you have a CPU-only

That's not how binning works. Quality silicon is also the ones that are more efficient. A flagship 65W part would be just as expensive as a result, it's the same-ish quality of parts.
