They truly feel like a match made in heaven. Krasznahorkai's own writing is lovely and lyrical, and Tarr's interpretation of it projects the same ideas onto the films but also in a way that makes it stand distinct as a medium. I c

This is a nice overview but is also obviously content marketing for Lighthouse, which, fine. I use Feedly, and generally like it, but the issue with RSS has very little to do with reader front ends and largely to do with how a lot of people

This sounds like the sort of "norms" thing that a GOP-leaning state would abuse to circumvent SEC regulations by somehow declaring a state-owned exchange as some sort of SEZ to allow unregulated exchange between domestic and (prim

How long until disciples of Zitron realize that he is just feeding them sensationalist doomer slop in order to drive his own subscription business. Maybe never! I find he exhbits the same characteristics of things that drove people like red

One of the best news sites (still running) that I use frequently is http://68k.news/ - it's sort of like this minus the AI summary and info part of the article. It's just plain text web 1.0 page that uses some ran

As a small +1 — I built mood.site to be an easy way to share galleries of images with people. The idea being like "hey send me some photo inspiration for the party we're planning" and having a throwaway way to do that (kind o

I think it's funny how goblin mode this whole hack is. The memory scanner itself was clearly written by an LLM (using python??) and the way this person goes about hacking the game is very non-reverse engineer but instead someone equipp

You're sort of glossing over the part where this can now be leveraged as a cost-efficient agentic model that performs better than o3. Nobody used o3 for sw agent tasks due to costs and speed, and this now substantially seems to both im

I don't _really_ mean it obviously but I think a key component of what makes something like GTA compelling is that fully modeled world you move around in. These things take what amounts to hundreds if not thousands of man years to crea

2 heavily resonates with me. Simon Wilson made the point early on that AI makes him more ambitious with his side projects, and I heavily agree. Suddenly lots of things that seemed more or less un-feasible are now not only do-able, but can a

I've been drafting a blog post on this as well. My take is that programming langauges largely evolve around "human" ergonomics and solve for "humans writing the code", but that can result in code that is too abstrac
