I never made the link with the sound levels before. I just figured this out recently too. >6pm when people left the office and >8pm when the dull humming of the HVAC turned off gave this odd feeling of calm like it had been subcons

This growing societal condemnation for every sin (past, present, or associated) may be called "virtue signaling" or "cancel culture" these days, but it already had a personified name thousands of years ago - self-righteo

Freedom is great, but so is eating, and so is the promise of a much better life for your kids. Thanks for the reasonable insight, you make some good points, especially that one which touches on the importance of hope. My question then is

China's rise to dominance is unquestionable now. The current US administration has failed miserably. Breathe into a bag, dude. You and everyone else fear-mongering in here. China has a lot of talent, but they also consist of a gove

You'd be surprised, Chick-fil-a has a TON of fraud to deal with given their food's popularity. They push the "convenience" of the mobile app (and it is in some ways), but coupon fraud was also a big hidden reason drivin

Good to hear. Cliqz was always demonstrably anti-US as their core motive [1], I never understood why HN even allowed their domain to post on here. Glad we won't have to keep sending them free traffic and enabling them to spread their

There's no doubt action (and speed of adaptability) is important, but I'd also highlight a 2nd virtue - patience. Action for the sake of action is called panic. People who like to control things (executives, leaders, me, etc) oft

Interesting tidbit from Cliqz ( https://cliqz.com/en/ ): Europe has failed to build its own digital infrastructure. US companies such as Google have thus been able to secure supremacy. They ruthlessly exploit our data.
