If your first tip consists of a technique that has no effect on IE<8 (as it doesn't support the inherit value) and don't mention it, then the article is worth nothing. Looking at the rest of the 'advice', I'd say that's a reasonable con

What this basically does is what you would do when starting without a CSS reset: Just reset the elements while you're styling them. Elements that you don't use don't get reset. That's fine of course, but if you make a lot of websites then y

I have two things: 1. Just ask. Seriously. There is so much that people want but don't get simply because they don't ask and assume the person will reply negatively anyway. Asking doesn't cost anything. 2. if you can figure something out

It seems Typekit and Google made a deal: https://code.google.com/apis/webfonts/docs/webfont_loader.ht... I suppose they plan on 'sharing' the API where Google will supply/host the free fonts, and Typekit the paid ones?

I really, really like how www.lollyphile.com is communicating. Not very start-uppy, but very honest, up-front and providing lots and lots of value to customers. Just last week, they sent their entire mailing list an email with a 25% off cod
