I have two things: 1. Just ask. Seriously. There is so much that people want but don't get simply because they don't ask and assume the person will reply negatively anyway. Asking doesn't cost anything. 2. if you can figure something out, say you can already do it. Obviously, you need to know your abilities here. But if someone asks a quote to do something in Tech X, and you think you might but haven't done anything with it...just say yes. People like confident people. and I'm sure you like new well-paying, interesting projects. (The caveat here is that you need to know what to say yes to.)
