WYSIWYG editors are universally bad, and so are Markdown ones. The benefit of Markdown is that you just write it in a text editor. You don't need syntax highlighting to use it effectively. Take reddit, as an example, which got millions

I'll grant you that an Electron app is generally 90% C++ (ships a web browser), but I'm not sure if that makes Thunderbird (ships a web browser) any better.

That's...not why, and it doesn't. Try clearing your cache, or loading a profile without any addons.

Thunderbird isn't a native app, for the record. It's a web application similar to an Electron application, but with extra steps.

Sourcehut [is] barely functional in a lot of ways. Since when? It has the best CI, has the best interface, has both Hg and git support, and does pretty much everything a forge is supposed to do. It also does discovery better than any othe

Its users are getting a fair deal, though. They're getting the service they paid for, with significantly less downtime than GitHub, and Drew is being fully transparent about how funds are spent.

I mostly agree with you (I mentioned elsewhere that "invasion of Taiwan" was just supposed to serve as shorthand), but I think you night be underestimating the US Navy and possibly overestimating the PLA.

Oh, invasion was absolutely lazy shorthand in that case. Mostly agree with you on the front of "this isn't how we should think about and conceptualize this." And fully agree that US-ROC relations have been really interesting
