I’m sorry in what world is age restriction effective at keeping teens away from alcohol? Are you from the 60s?

Claiming e2e makes children less safe is flat out dishonest. And the irony of you criticising “absolutes” after trying to pass one is just delicious.

Keeping children safe and prosecuting are too different concepts, only vaguely related. So no, being able to track pdfs doesn't make children safer. What keeps them safe is teaching them safe communication habits and keeping them away

No, saying that e2e encryption makes users _less_ safe is completely dishonest, nothing is fine about this. The logic of "anything is better than before" is also fallacious.

Assuming this is in good faith: think about it yourself, are you seriously waiting for people to tell you what to do? Use your critical thinking skills, read history about similar situations. If you can't, find someone OFFLINE that wil

Thank you for giving an example of what I’m talking about. You’re there fantasising about armed conflict when there are a million different actions one can take. But nope, only words, words and more words.

Anthropic has safeguards baked in the model, this is the only way to make sur it's harder for the DOJ to misuse it. A pinky swear from the DoD means nothing

Their models are crappy anyway, the "super intelligence" BS is nowhere to be seen. Just let them die or become a US government asset.

Yeah the passivity of the US population will be remembered for generations. Of course it's the people talking about freedom the most that do the least, as usual, big mouths are antithetical to actions.

You can rent GPUs, this comes with a security, maintenance and performance overhead, but also has a few advantages. But right now, a Mac is the easiest way because of their memory architecture.

It does look good on them, just one day after they accept to drop their AÍ safety net, which is a de facto abdication to the DoD. Their article is just (masterful)damage control

I can't believe how many people take the anthropic statement at face value. You need to concentrate on what they are implicitly acknowledging. They will spy on non us citizens. How philanthropic edit: how about the downvoters give a co

lol so you think expecting the pentagon to follow a pinky swear is ok? Preposterous or downright dishonest

this article is _about_ kissing the ring and damage control. Are you seriously believing at face value? You're ok with spying non us peaceful citizens?
