I am looking into this now. Basically it’s either this or the super hard Kubernetes right? I find it hard to believe that we don’t have a middle ground?

Because my team has an easier time managing our simple code vs a new tool. Also we have a lot of custom components because we use our site to provide navigation for our apps, dashboards and docs. I couldn’t find a generator that would fit a

In theory you are saving some money for not using a database, redshift is also pricey. Have you considered that? The free solution is python + altair in a jupyter notebook, but you would have to decide if it is worth your time to setup.

Quick comparison: 1) Redash and Falcon focus on people that want to do visualizations on top of SQL 2) Superset, Tableau and PowerBI focus on people that want to do visualizations with a UI 3) Metabase and SeekTable focus on people that wan

The sad reality is that it won't, people will be left home to die. If you think about it they are already preparing for that by telling people to not go to hospitals but to call their doctors first.

The thing with big companies is that you have to fit in whatever reality they are telling themselves in that moment. Then you need big credibility points to give them a way to say you were the best at xyz, pity that you failed. They care 0

Everything is becoming a huge database with some light interface stuck on top of it. Maybe you can apply your webdev skills in another industry. I think “ai” products will need webdev to sell and work.

What do you think of travel the next 2-3 months? Should we avoid it? I was going to travel to Madrid end of March for fun from Krakow, should I delay this to May or even June?

AWS and Cloud computing are really hot topics and it's hard to get the right information by just reading around the web. Q&A websites are great if you can learn by asking isolated questions - how do I sum 2 columns in python pandas

Meanwhile in Italy they are building lithium battery factories and working on converting diesel buses to electric. The infrastructure shift will be huge and new companies will need to raise to tackle that. For instance, Tourin has circa 800

The enterprise software industry seems quite overcrowded these days. Lots of companies still doing negative OI (Tableau, Salesforce, etc.). Lots of competition. Very little improvement over stuff that was made 30 years ago like Excel. Compa

With dask we code the workflow in the notebook and run in the notebook. We don’t have to fiddle with operator as every task is python code. Dask is easy to install which is important since each analyst has to be able to test the workflows b

I mean the same thing you mean. My issue with airflow is that it’s complicated and doesn’t adapt well to cloud computing. Dask runs on aws emr and eks, Kubernetes, etc.. Unfortunately orchestration is a lot more complicated than it looks. P

Well I have a lot of experience with IT procurement. IT is more about cost and risk mitigation than technology. The last thing IT wants is to try new software that might blow up in the hands of their unprepared outsourced helpdesk support p

It depends. Not exactly sure what the situation is here but a lot of those outsourcing "transformations" look really strange. A lot of the times it's hard to prove that cost has gone down and for sure quality did. One wonders

The power point thing is so important though and consultants make amazing power points. It’s so important I’d hire a power point master just for explaining to executive all the concerns and issues me and my team have over our IT practices.
