Arch is very lean and it's absurdly up to date. Debian is a monstruosity and even it's testing branch is not as up to date as arch. However, arch breaks things often, very often. You make updates crossing fingers you will be able

I was very disappointed with the debian version of linux mint. It was just awful. I have used archlinux for 2 years and I wanted a rolling release easy to use, but mint debian was slow, had connection problems and overall crashed way too ma

The making things happen attitude is very unsubstantial. If it was substantial, then everybody could apply it the same way and the world would be an easy place. I find way more difficult to hack attitude than to hack code.

I upgraded to Office 2013 recently, on Windows 7. The all thing got super slow and I am still fighting the ribbon, plus this flaty thing on Windows 7 is just odd. Yes my computer is 3 years old, yes some linux distros are worst, but when so

They threw my deodorant in Frankfurt because of that. It was very annoying, I could not buy it for one week as I was very busy with work. Then there is the problem with medicines. I have a light psoriasis. Remember that before the 100ml ext

I agree. But I am really tired of having problems because the deodorant I use has 150ml of liquid instead of 100.

Hey, very nice! What about allowing users to take notes and tags on the search results? I have a bunch of bash commands I run I always forget, this would help me a lot to keep track of things (like all the ssh-ing stuff that I can't se

Hey, you have no email in the profile, you mind if you shoot me one? I think it would be nice to network with a fellow finance pythonista. To your point: maybe in US yes, but in Europe I have been trying 2 years almost and nothing. Startups

My itch is that outdoorers and outdoor clubs (climbing, kayaking, caving, etc.) are still living in the 90'. They have shitty portals and forums. There is no worldwide directory of people and, especially, clubs and events and it sucks

Hey there, very interesting story. Can I ask you if you have any similar ideas (for a web developer)? I am in a full time job (finance) and I can't get any attentions from startups even though I am sure I have good junior coding skills

Travelling on a kayak (Passau-Bratislava in 2012 and Krakow-Gdansk in 2013). Both the memories and the planning for the future trips (Iceland 2014!) give me something to hold on to during the dark moments. Previously I used to travel by bik

Let's not get offensive, OK? I have been programming in University, learning on my own, both R and Python (and SQL, Javascript, HTML, CSS). I played in Python for 3 years. I am not a noob, I know what I am doing. My "problem"

Are we there yet with AI? Maybe some kind of adaptative strategy would help online dating. Each robot (M/F) should 1. read, 2. evaluate, 3. stop/continue. Question: how many messages iteratactions we need to have a 90% confidence
