The single guys at work are actually the most eager to go back in. I think the loneliness and monotony gets to you after awhile, and most live in kind of dreary small bachelor pad type apartments. I am fortunate to have a wife and a dog and

As a mid 30s childless man I completely agree. We essentially sent people home on a Friday, told them to figure out a work from home situation, and then they were told welp your kids aren't going to school either, and whatever childcar

What you are describing is market making, and has existed pretty much as long as there are markets. Before computers rendered guys in the pits extinct, the spreads were much wider and those guys were known to literally front run you on occa

Technically HFT is a subset of algorithmic trading. Algorithmic trading can be done on both the buy (IE hedge fund) and sell (Investment bank) side, but does not need to be high frequency. High Frequency also means low latency- sub millisec

The time to talk to sales reps is a real problem. I was at a startup, and this was a factor in pretty much all of the software we selected. This was a financial app- we needed messaging of some sort. I called the leaders at that time, Tibco

What do you mean? The only remote job I have had used a typical recruiter from the company side. I am sure he had a premium subscription. I didn't use a recruiter from my side as I knew someone that worked there.
