Well we know this right, but we're still subjecting ourselves to these bizarre environments that make us less productive and less happy. On top of that, this is just one area that we're sure is obviously stupid and it's measu

Clickbait title that's mostly false. HN loves to hate Bitcoin though. I can't believe even newsweek can get to top with that garbage.

Just don't touch system76. They're just low quality rebranded Sager laptops with a crap version on Linux. You can just buy the same laptop and if you really like their horrible version of Linux, then put that on there.

I want this to not suck. I have my doubts since gmail is ridiculously buggy with automatic syncing turned off. Only notifying for 'urgent' notifications reeks of just not getting it. That's just to pick on one of many exam

I was under the impression that drug dogs we're mostly ineffective[1] anyway so this shouldn't be an issue. I guess this article would imply I'm misinformed. I'd welcome correction. [1] https://www.washingto

I appreciate the advice you've given through your blog and podcast. Thanks for taking the time to create those things. They've been inspiring. I'm wonder if a US LLC would be better for me? I'm a mISV in Canada. I us

I'm so glad I don't have to sit through design presentations anymore. Just reading the first few words of the "Brand Book" made me die inside.

Yep I've spent a lot of money at NewEgg and the tricks I have to employ to get a legitimate order through are constantly changing. It let me use a PayPal account for a while (then said it was fraudulent), then a CC with a US address (

Wow myetherwallet is trusted for transaction very non-trivial amounts. What would a good mitigation strategy be for these types of attacks.

Last time I signed one it was very weakly worded. I laughed and said "I'll only sign this because it's completely unenforceable here". It was a bit awkward.

Funny, for me it didn't show the loading indicator until I actually went to the tab and watched it 'load'. Very 90s/modern.

My neice and nephew love this game. They're 5 & 7. My only complaint is that I think the difficulty ramps up a bit fast or their could be a bit more easier levels. Would pay for that.

I haven't heard of this before, but it looks like it's similar to Docker compose or maybe a layer on top? And insight or comparison as to why you would use this over other tools.

I'd be okay with Slack being sufficient but taking a gig of RAM. Instead it's really shitty and buggy and also take a gig of RAM. Any one of their problems doesn't make it a horrible product, that just the one most often po

Actually I agree that this is just like a CD drive but reach the opposite conclusion. Removing the CD drive was mostly worse for the consumer of the MBA at the time. Sure, almost no one wants a CD drive now, but that gives little credence

I'm not sure if there's a common switch with less travel, but you could look into using spacer and/or landing pads to accomplish what you're looking for.

I just started using Duplicacy with B2 and am very pleased. It's a bit more expensive if you have a lot of data (I do), but it's way faster, transparent and usable than their client.
