I am the target market for this. We have a Medela and it's doesn't work that well. We can easily afford Naya's $1000 version, but I don't think we'd pay 4x as much. In general, before saying the the situation is b

Given how horrible non-(Nexus|Pixel) phones have been, I'd consider this to be better in practice. I agree with you that in an ideal world, other Android device makers would be on a level playing field and not do a shit job.

I've stopped trying to understand why such a buggy product with horrible UX is praised as the opposite. To me it seems the takeaway is advertising/hivemind is still much more powerful and good product.

That was a lot of javascript for almost zero content. Is it just that people love reading that houses are expensive?

It seems surprising that Ruby's popularity is going down while Python is increasing. Any insight as to why that would be?

meh, I got in 2012 and still regret not putting in more, spending too much time mining (rather than just investing), not having enough resources to make as much of a difference to my future, getting into Ethereum only this year, keeping oth

I ran about 15 miles of this today (goes through my hometown). Some notable points: - about 500m on a two lablne road with no shoulder and 80km speed limit - 3 miles on the most beautiful abandoned road that looks like a Josh Keyes paintin

I would love to and have looked briefly for opportunities. I'd like to do video/screensharing mentoring for Rails pro bono. If anyone has suggestions, I'm interested.

Agreed. Part of the fun of my side project is that it's well built. At work I have to deal with poor quality code practices from artificially tight timelines, contractors, etc. From one perspective it's very wasteful to have hi

I use Just Read[1] for things like this. It attempts to pull out the relevant text and put it in a user editable style sheet (the default is fine for many). [1] https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/just-read&

Good riddance. I switched from Backblaze to crashplan because it was cheaper for families. I've regretted it ever since. The client is horrible. Right now it's consuming about 4GB of memory. I had to increase that recently, o

Ebay does not care about counterfeit items. I bought $300 fake Bose and they did nothing about it. I had the persons address and everything and they were in a neighbouring city to me.

I agree, but there is something I just can't make sense of. I would love to just work my ass off for 4 hours a day but you won't get through any part of an interview if someone finds that out.

I tried to read it. If you don't have much patience for being preached antiscientific garbage, you won't get through it. I'm not saying that it can't work, or that there isn't some usable knowledge in there, but j

I'd consider Healing Back Pain: The Mind-Body Connection to be fiction as well. Too long, shouldn't read: if you believe, your back pain will go away. I'm surprised to see the anti-scientific pseudoscience promoted.

I understand what you're getting at but I think you may have misunderstood me. Being able to run a marathon in 3 hours probably meant you set aside a hour or two, 5 times a week for years. Walking a marathon in 7 hours means that you
