I dont agree that tech is unrelated to mental health, but I like how you ended this comment. It shocks me how few parents actually listen to their kids. Even the otherwise good parents who invest enormous time and energy into their kids wil

How do these companies survive? I can't imagine re-writing your code base on a whim translates to increased revenue.

I think he's exaggerating. The workplaces I've seen aren't nearly that bad (and definitely don't have 27 year old managers).

It should be noted that FB stopped using DP problems in interviews for this very reason (they measure how much you've practiced rather than innate intelligence).

The problem with this is it's biased against poor people. Rich addicts can afford to only be users, but poor addicts are the ones that need to deal to support their habit. So if you jail dealers, you're disproportionately jailing

Most US offices I've been too will tell you beforehand that you're seeing an APRN/DNP instead of an MD and ask if that's okay. Besides, I haven't seen much evidence that APRNs provide worse quality care. More hours

It's funny that people are criticizing YouTube here for stifling free debate on a scientific issue when it seems DeSantis explicitly selected only scientists from the Great Barrington Declaration to join the Round table. There was no f

It doesn't just look like white supremacy, it has the same effects and acts as a convenient cover for actual white supremacy. The difference is really splitting hairs in my opinion.

Maybe socialization shouldn't be the point of work, but it serves that purpose for a lot of people. Social capital has been declining since the 60's (see Robert Putnam's work) and work is one of the few places left where peop
