It's funny that people are criticizing YouTube here for stifling free debate on a scientific issue when it seems DeSantis explicitly selected only scientists from the Great Barrington Declaration to join the Round table. There was no free debate because DeSantis cherry picked scientists that had a certain viewpoint.

It's not a matter of them being allowed to do this either. A private entity can choose to publish or remove whatever content they choose. It's that in the long term this type of control is stifling to overall discussion. At the start of the pandemic when the CDC was publicly saying to not wear masks (and knowingly lying depending on how you frame it), a number of people made public statements that N95 do offer protection. By YouTube's current standards that would have been verboten. Same thing for anything that discussed less than "6-feet of separation" for social distancing. Yet as of a few weeks ago the CDC quietly updated that to "3-feet of separation". YouTube's public slogan is, "Broadcast Yourself". It's missing the part where it explains that "Yourself" has to jive with their flavor of the week.
