Vaccine mandates don't make sense since they don't allow for the concept of natural immunity. The CDC allows you to show proof of previous infection for measles instead of getting vaccinated. https://www.cdc.gov/me

There's a certain irony in seeing people who cheered vaccine mandates forced on people by the government now getting upset about the government banning mandates.

Nothing in this comment contradicts what I've said, majority of deaths were at nursing homes and better protocols would've helped them. Still haven't addressed my point about Belgium having more restrictive lockdowns and a hi

It's not a theory , 50% of all COVID deaths were in nursing homes: https://www.reuters.com/article/health-coronavirus-sweden-co... Also the paper you linked agrees with me, The highest age groups, i.e. ages 80 a

Meanwhile Belgium had around 20% excess deaths and much much stricter lockdowns. Most of Sweden’s excess deaths occurred in nursing homes, which weren’t protected enough; it had nothing to do with regular people eating at restaurants and ev

Ahh yes the classic “if it doesn’t agree with my preconceived notions it must be a poorly done study” but if it furthers my beliefs then “anyone that questions it is obviously denying the truth/anti-science”. You dismiss this study wit

This isn’t true, the risk for young men 22 and younger from vaccine induced myocarditis exceeds the risk from COVID. Even more true for 17 and younger males: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.08.30.21262

The article you linked disproves your point: In 2016, the US was responsible for 57 percent of new chemical entities worldwide. From this perspective, ensuring increased investment in R&D seems logical.

Despite the snark about the “other side” your proposed solutions are equally blind to the actual problem. Even if we had single payer(not to mention that places like Canada rely on the drug and treatment innovations from the US) that doesn’

I wouldn’t be so sure, the growing vulnerability of American aircraft carriers to Chinese anti-ship ballistic missiles such as the DF-21D is just one problem to which the Pentagon lacks a good solution.

Given the disastrous way the US withdrew from Afghanistan if a now emboldened China decided to invade Taiwan I feel like the US would just stand by and watch. Unfortunate to see the resolve of the US falter to uphold.

You mean the 100k Hummer? If anything the Ford F-150 is the truck that will cause this change. F-150 is the top selling car in America(1 mil units a year) it’s a big deal that it’s going electric.

Next week the CDC’s ACIP is scheduled to meet to explore boosters as well. ACIP advises the CDC on whether it should recommend use of vaccines the FDA has approved, one might conclude that the timing of the meetings is premised on the FDA a

We do this all the time with cancer drugs. The ethical thing to do is to do the trial first and collect the data. You will benefit an order of magnitude more people and you will be able to answer future questions in a timely fashion.
