That's fascinating. Matt Taibbi recently did an article - a takeaway from which was that Facebook is currently doing exactly that - burying content that is true but lends credence to crazy. https://taibbi.substack.com/p

It does seem odd that a CMBS lender would finance a ~$80MM loan on a site this risky if it was this bad. I’ve worked in a special servicing (loan servicing for troubled and REO assets) shop and overheard the headaches that an environmental

I’ve always wondered why nobody’s ever set up a porn-for-hire business (maybe they have) to hide a prostitution business behind whatever laws make pornography legal. It’d essentially be an escort service where the “John” finances the “shoot

The hardest part of successful RPA implementation IMHO is in not automating stupidity. It’s too easy to send EY or whoever in to replace some god awful process by “Larry in AP” with a “bot” that just replicated what he does - no matter how

From my naive perspective, the Bible itself has a lot of warts that are pretty indefensible. This isn’t to say the Bible has nothing of value to contribute to society; but as an authority on morality there’s a lot of amoral things god does.

For a $120k signing bonus, and a salary / incentive comparable to what I make now; I'd start today. This is a good point. I should probably start interviewing now to at least get practice, and at best I can land an amazing job or

It's a big-ish US company with over 25k employees so I feel pretty confident they won't welch. I get 57k in severance (10yrs, currently 135k / yr), 34k in bonus, and 17k in retention bonus; but if I leave early I get $0.00. T
