I am another user that owns a Macbook, an old iPod and an Android phone and I prefer Android. I really like my Android phone much more than iOS for many reasons: widgets, ability to use more "powerfull" (with more permissions to change the

Actually you can easily cache big parts of the map in advance now. I live in a really big city (São Paulo) and I pre-cached it entirely.

Thats great, surprisingly there are already a few submissions in my area (São Paulo / BR) even if the Galaxy Nexus was not launched here yet and the only device with a barometer is the Xoom. I think it is a revolutionary idea that can chang

I dont know why it happens, but I "resolved" it by rooting the device and downloading the app Root Explorer.

It is a little ironic that Steve had camped outside a store and was basically ignored by Apple to buy an iPhone 4S and was captured by a legion of Google admirers when trying to buy a Galaxy Nexus. People of Apple, this is Woz. Atleast let

I'm rating this as a 10 in software in the current crop of phones, particularly against other Android offerings. Who knows what this will look like when Windows Phone 8 and iOS 6 are out. -by Joshua Topolsky 6:17 PM I think it makes sense

Quite impressive. 10 for performance and software (iPhone 4S received 8 and 9). The device seems to be very good, but ICS is the star here. I am eagerly waiting to receive the update at my Nexus S.

True. I worked for a few banks and used Flex in one project. I cannot say that I loved the tech, but I saw many people struggling to make html/js/css applications work with IE and it was a relief to not have to worry about it.

Google releases every source code except Honeycomb. I think the code was really ugly, released urgently to support tablets. I cant blame Google, we who works with software in big companies know how pressure and strict timelines can be a pai

Looks like very good compared to Brazil, where we pay around 40% and still have to pay for private healthcare and education because the public services are terrible.

3 months for an Android phone be irrelevant is absolutely not true. My girlfriend has a Galaxy S (released June 2010) that runs every single game in the Android Market perfectly and was updated to Gingerbread (and maybe will be updated to I

Any chance of launching an Android Development course? Treehouse seems to be exactly what I was looking for, but the topic that I am really interested in at this moment is not there. Congrats for the product, the site is amazing and I enjoy

Even if all iPhone users start to use only Siri instead of Google, will Google really be in trouble? IOs have around 25% of the smartphone market. Is this number relevant compared to all users of Google in the world? (this is actually a

I liked it, and I definitely would use it if my 3G connection was more reliable. Here in Brazil it is still quite slow and many times it does not work at all.

Another difference is that by buying music the albuns are yours forever , and with a service like this when you stop paying you got nothing left.

I think that the fact that the chart stopped at June 2010 makes it looks much worse than it is now. Android is newer than iOS and works on a very different environment. Support 4 devices is much easier than 4 thousand. If you extend this ch

Read It Later is a simple solution for it. I am using it a for a long time now, it is not as polished as Instapaper but is good and is very cheap (I think I paid one dollar for the Android app).
