Sorry, I misused the term obvious. It just makes a lot of sense to me.

I think we can't judge if this product is disappointing or not by the sales number. I am not saying that the 4S is not a good phone, but the sales are obviously heavily influenced by the Steve Jobs death. Many of my friends who weren't cons

Same here. It was really unexpected, suddenly I went from laughing to almost crying like a baby.

I hope they add support to PostgreSQL.

That was something that I needed to read. Yes, Steve was a genious, but we can't let death create a saint from him. With Apple's giant profit margins he could enforce better working conditions. I also don't like the closed ecosystem idea,

Very humble article. He is bold to say that Steve was always ahead of him. The “It’s your heart running around outside your body." quote is just another pearl.

I live in Brazil and was hired to work for a company in 2009 and they sent me for a project lasting 2 months in Rome. I was impressed about how the people in general and specially the women hated Berlusconi. And he is still there today.

Or, if you are a A Song of Ice and Fire fan, Tyrion Lannister. Sorry for the off-topic.

I am not a big Gruber fan. Actually, I disagree with most of his opinions. But this text is just beautiful.

Every single link at HN frontpage is about Jobs passage atm. It may looks obvious, but look at the importance of the guy between hackers. RIP.

Minimalist, I think Steve would like it. Linking to apple.com was classy.

This remember me about the Prost and Senna relationship. It is impressive how much we lost when our biggest 'rival' pass away. When Senna died, Prost stated that "a part of himself had died also", because their careers had been so bound to

I am not the biggest Apple fan. I love my macbook and I have a very old iPod, but in the last few years I misliked the company attitude. Even so, suddenly I feel that the world is a worst place to live. RIP Steve.

Personally, change the rom/kernel and try different stuff on my phone is a big part of the fun to me. Even the standard roms (like the one for the Galaxy S II) are quite decent now, you just have to change it if you like to try different

I agree that this is the problem with this specific article. But I don't think Android in the current state lacks anything to the iPhone. There are zillions of great apps in the Market. The evidence that the Samsung Galaxy S series are sell

I agree. I think it is a pretty cool feature, but far from a killer one. And the specs of device are pretty close from 1 year old Android devices like Atrix. I was hoping for much more.

Hi Patrick. Please take a look at the possibility to also support Brazil. There is a huge market here and the current solutions (Pagseguro and Pagamento Digital are the biggest atm) are far from good enough. A simple solution like Stripe wo

Google+, Viber, Maps, SPB Shell 3D? Yes, many Android apps looks bad (a lot of them appeared in the beginning of Android, made by hackers that dont care about design or poorly ported from other platforms) but this is not the case anymore.

Well, even John Gruber is giving praises to a non-Apple device. That must mean something.

So we are both screwed, because I obviously wont buy it for $288.70. Atleast I think that our fellow european friends feel a little less screwed now.

The ecosystem of Sublime Text 2 is fantastic, new plugins are popping out at an impressive rate. I am switching from Textmate to ST2 and very happy with it.

The discussion at this thread only convinced me to give a try to Sublime Text 2 (currently using Textmate). Never stopped to take a look at it. The vim mode looks nice.

It is a little worse here, I would say that 80% of the items from my feed are from google employees. When I change to filter only my friends the feed is almost depressing, always around 3 posts/day with around 100 people in my circles.
