Here! here! I'm within spitting distance of the end of a project of collapsing a service-oriented system back into a Majestic Monolith. Every step of the way has reduced the lines of code, fixed bugs, saved money, saved time. It's

Have a look at how Phoenix(Elixir) does it with LiveView. You simply write everything as a server rendered view and the framework pulls things apart and sends just what changed over a web socket. Its mind blowing how fast it is (can be. Lat

Random anecdote: I used to work with a Stephen Mangan voice-elganger! I try not to post reddit-like comments like this, but found it strange that there are other people out there who sound like this.

Agreed. I work with an internal system unfortunately called the Digital Asset Manager. So all day long we talk about adding things to the DAM database and editing the DAM record and so on. It never gets old - to my juvenile sensibilities. H

Just curious, and this might sound naive but this is a serious question. Are drone "blades" (not sure of the correct term) more efficient when they aren't enclosed? I understand this is a test unit and there are myriad safety

I think the big difference with JS is that if you're doing just about anything in Web Dev these days, you MUST use JS (with a few exceptions). Don't like PHP? Try Python. Why not Go, Scala or Rust? Don't like Ruby? Move to El
