This reminds me of what’s currently happening with Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, HBO Max etc. We’ve also come full circle with cable.

I would love some ideas for how to get rid of YouTube. What do you have in mind?

In fairness it took Netflix a long time to grow internationally. I waited years for it to come to Israel. Disney+ hasn’t been around nearly as long. International viewing rights agreements are complicated.

Try P90X. There is one X3 workout called The Warrior specifically designed for tight spaces. Look up Tony Horton on YouTube for some ideas.

P90X is designed for at home workouts. P90X3 limits the workouts to 30 minutes. They’re excellent. I highly recommend them. You can get more done at home than in the time it would take you to drive to the gym and park.

Same here in Israel. Messages from daycare, zoom class info for kids, alerts, are all connected to WhatsApp. There is no way to avoid using it. Wish there was something I could do.

Seems like if you had an easy to find email list you could own your customer and prevent google from creating these huge swings. I read the whole post on my phone and didn’t see a place to add my email.

Is that all they’ll do? Or will they eventually sell your data to health and life insurance companies?

That’s true for sales jobs. I was under the impression he was asking about it for all key employees.

Rev share is a tricky incentive. It can incentivize people to waste money chasing revenue. Revenue isn’t always in line with the success of the business. As a business owner and VC I’d be extremely reluctant to offer that to employees.

I seriously doubt that. But it’s cool to bash Israel online so you’ll probably get upvoted.

Exactly. Facebook along with google, Twitter, etc. become an echo chamber based on their tracking your precious history of what interested you.

Cheese is by far the most protective factor to prevent Alzheimer’s later in life? How can a dietary study predict what helps later in life? Aren’t there too many external factors to really give these results any weight?

I think it’s more complicated than that. While it does lead to higher rents, it also leads to more visitors and tourists who spend more at local establishments. Those places hire local people. So there is an argument to be made that it help

I second this book. I also think being sleep deprived destroys your willpower. So getting enough sleep for a few nights, perhaps on the weekend, and then trying to keep a streak going. Additionally I’ve had a lot of success using a habit tr

I disagree. It seems significantly more humane than the mass slaughterhouses in the midwestern US. It’s so bad there they actually made it illegal to video.

I moved abroad about ten years ago to a non English speaking country. Got the first kindle that came out and never looked back. I have hundreds of books I take with me everywhere now.

Disagree. I think getting McConnell out of office would’ve been a much bigger win.

Have you used this technique for bullying? Was it effective? Would you mind sharing your experiences? This thread has made me consider getting therapy.

I didn’t realize this is something other people can’t do till reading your comment and the responses. I’ve been able to give myself goosebumps and chills on demand since I was a child. I wonder what other SNS responses can be controlled.

I’m a big fan of Way of Life. Simple and quick. I use it for a reminder at this point but it still helps me not skip certain habits from time to time, like flossing, calling my mother, and meditating.

I find that eventually it turns into a reminder app which is helpful anyway, as I have about a dozen regular habits I try to keep. I use Way of Life and it’s been helpful without being a pain.

There are other ways to hide money now. Fatca is one way, allowing the US to get info but not forced to share it. So the new way is to have a US company (from Nevada, Wyoming, etc.) with at least one foreign partner. If you’re interested in
