Providing fully featured API out of the gates for a service which got launched in a hurry (at least that's the impression I got) would probably be a bad idea considering the early nature of the service. I'm confident that Garry will provide

No doubt will this reduce head count but on what expense? My guess is that it pushes more talented people out which can start the downward spiral. This is something we have seen in Finland with Nokia: when the company decided to give people

At least Aalto University in Finland uses Python as the entry level teaching language nowadays [1]. I don't know anyone from the CS department but I'll do my best to reach out to them about the matter. [1]: https://noppa.aalto.fi/noppa/kur

It would also be interesting to know if any of the big CMS vendors (Automattic, Drupal etc) has done anything to prevent this in the newer releases.

We don't sync tags into lists as users can have hundreds of tags but only few lists - their use case is quite separate. At the moment we don't have a list of hashtags but this is something we could do in the future. Our API is pretty simple

I highly recommend Jekyll and other static generated blog engines as they can handle high traffic and don't suffer from security problems. Hit me with an email if you need any advice, happy to help out.

Sadly Danielle's site is down so I can't read the original post. I also had the pleasure of interacting with BetaPunch's Twitter account a while back: they posted several tweets advertising that they were doing user testing for our service.

We're actually re-designing the public profile views. Soon the profiles will feature all the latest links instead of separate lists. We're also changing the view of the links quite radically... More about that soon. What comes to blog embed

Developer of Kippt here. If you have any feedback related to Kippt, we would love to hear about you. We're making some pretty big changes to Kippt now and they should fix some of the most requested features and add more use cases.
