An oldie but a goodie none the less. This kind of reminds me of Jason Fried's quote "inspiration is perishable"... which I interpret to mean: act now. Also, I'm also reminded of that Youtube video of the lady with cancer... "don't waste f*c

Very cool. Congrats to the Fastmail team. Way to persevere when things got tough. Hopefully all will work out and the payoff will be plentiful.

I practice this same technique at a local restaurant named Amigos in the mid-west. The condiments are free inside, but in the drive through they cost $0.50... it works about 75% of the time.

Well said. I completely agree with you first point. If you haven't made any money, you have a hobby not a business.

I say this out of sincerity, and not to be a jerk. You want to be a "somebody"? Then launch. Two years without a launch is very concerning. Start a blog and work on it DAILY. Force others to recognize you in your industry as an expert. I re

According to http://www.thesevenfive.com/about/ that's not the case. In fact, your statement is backwards. His price is a reflection of his brand, not the other way i.e. his brand is "75"... thus changing his price won't matter much in th

Sometimes I'm not sure if Zed is a prima donna or just misunderstood. But, one thing is for certain. Zed definitely contributes to his respective communities. He contributes a lot. Probably more than most of us ever will. Thank you Zed for

I don't agree with the inequality of shares when each party is the founder of the startup. I think that everyone should have equal shares. In my experience not having equal shares causes people to gripe over stupid things such as the amount

Kudos to this guy. It's sad that many people in society are myopic and think that this guy was gay. As stated, I think it's simply a case of one geek that was persecuted standing up for a fellow geek. The world needs more people like this g

Paying was a very poor move. Often times companies will sell their debt very cheaply to these agencies. The burden of proof is on them, not him. In my experience, these small agencies don't report to the big three (Experian, Equifax, Transu

I use to hate Javascript. I attempted to build a large enterprise system using ExtJS... I ran into a number of problems. I then realized that I could accomplish the same task using GWT/GXT. It was successful. I still don't like Javascript,

Ya dude, that's taking it too far. You can't compare the loss of human life to ANYTHING else. I understand your position, but stating it detracts from what's really important - the unnecessary loss of human life.

I really appreciate the simplicity. Please keep it simple. Don't listen to all the naysayers who want X,Y,Z feature. You'll end up alienating the users who actually enjoy your product. Thanks, I will actually be using this.

It doesn't matter if it causes problems. That's not the point. The point is that if you're an entrepreneur and you make those mistakes, your customers may think that you're an amateur.

I wrote about this. I think that building a business on these app stores is a losing proposition. I'm not saying that you shouldn't develop apps, but don't build a business on these stores. http://techneur.com/post/440686528/its-all-our-fa
