I imagine that in the future, when climate change gets so bad, those types of petro-chemical facilities will become easy target, and seen how complex and dangerous they are, it will be very difficult to keep them safe and functioning.

People on the internet still often criticizes wikipedia when I link to it, I don't understand why. It's true that it's not good enough for academic work (is it?), but it's largely enough for everything else.

I think not, because batteries need to have their voltage controlled along their lifetime so they don't degrade and maybe burst, and that must be done at a low level. It's a compromise between safety, performance and durability. R

I guess the only real purpose of a raspberry pi would be to turn it into an light email server, but even a raspberry pi zero is too much powerful for my taste. I'm still not willing to pay to host my emails, and I don't have anyth

You had many answers. You don't really start a project in C unless you target limited hardware or some low-level library that can be embedded in other things and interact with other language that can make us of C-style APIs. C became t

So does it mean it's not possible to have popular apps like whatsapp or Tinder on this? I also wish it was just a phone with much less performance for a smaller price. I want something durable and repairable, not something fast, Wirth&

Not really, C is easy enough, and you can still use a small subset of C++ that is quite easy to use. It's not possible in rust.

I write C++, and I have little hope or motivation to learn rust. I would gladly learn it in class with a good teacher, though, but not without. Programming languages should not have a steep learning curve. Disclaimer: I managed to parse a e

I have been using lexy to parse a pythonic language I made, it was hard but I managed to do it (although I handle indentation myself). Matcheroni seems to lack a proper tutorial, lexy's tutorial is pretty good.
