Valve now catches cheaters using machine learning, which analyzes the demo. Apparently they catch a lot of cheaters this way, and it's more reliable than player reports. But to be really honest: it's impossible to prevent cheaters

That's a cost to microsoft, sure, but probably a much bigger cost to china. I like Linux, but porting a country's software on linux is no trivial task.

I saw there is a manifest v3 ublock lite. I don't understand why and how it would be less capable, and so far I have not read the details of how/why. So far, it's just rumors to me. I will keep using firefox anyway, but hones

I wonder how many skilled black hats work for Iran, China or Russia. And I can imagine that those countries use front companies to buy exploit. I just hope that those blackhats understand that their discovery might land in the wrong hands.

Because if you make it public too early, it gives some time for attackers to write exploit to target unpatched versions. Firefox is used in other projects, so the patch needs to spread, and time is needed.

Can't simulate the brain of an ant or a mouse. Really don't expect ai to reach anything interesting. If science doesn't understand intelligence, it means it cannot be made artificially.

I want to ask the question: if software engineers had 1000 times or 1 millions times, or 1^12, or 1^30 more computer power and storage, would they be able to make advance in AI or go toward general intelligence? I would say probably not. Un

We need laws and regulations on software the same way we have for toys, cars, airplanes, boats, buildings. This silicon valley libertarian non sense needs to stop.

In the end, if that annoys Russia, that's a good thing. Telegram is used by Russia, terror groups, and so on. It's always funny to hear people talk about free speech in that situation.

Question for somebody who doesn't work in chips: what does a software engineer has to do differently when targeting software for RISC5? I would imagine that executable size increases, meaning it has to be aggressively optimized for cac
