If an AI were meant to write code it would be Python. That is english with very few syntactic sugar mainly parens and colons. Unless the result wouldn't be meant to be read nor understood by anyone. IMHO Python is the closest to pseudo

This is not quite surprising as I experienced a few times that kids understand pretty well a CLI rather than a GUI. As soon as they can read the concept of a REPL is rather straightforward for many so called computer "illiterates"

I remember how as a little boy I was instantly hooked on my father's Dragon32 and its BASIC interpreter. A screen plus keyboard plus an instant-on Micropython board setup would be very appealing to children.

Nice article. I'm all for it ! I use Pandoc and Makefile as well. Except I use Emacs and Inkscape for SVG graphics. IMHO this is the way to produce documents in the 21st century.
