That's interesting. Sometimes I do see "remote (Seattle area only)" or something like that. I work remote now but my company basically has a presence in every state and most countries.

I think you nailed it. Then the recruiters start doing the same thing on the other end. I have 10 years of experience ands till get entry level help desk positions in my inbox.

I take the time to filter out jobs that I know I would be good at and then write a cover letter and customize my resume for the job, only to not hear any acknowledgement at all. I'm about to just blast my resume out with no filter and

I always hear "we're looking for remote but not in your area". Most remote posts don't actually seem to be truly remote. I'm in the US eastern timezone, shrugs. To your second point, they are probably fishing for g

"trick me into buying crap" What? You chose to either buy or don't. I don't see the trickery.

Usually my answer is no. I sign them and then, personally, complete disregard them because I think it's highly unlikely a company would enforce it on a low level employee like myself. The fact that they could try is usually enough to s

The problem is that a low level employee doesn't have the money to fight something like this. The simple fact that they can be litigated is enough.

I've had the opposite experience. As a software consultant I'm often on client calls. Our developers decided that a gong was the way to signal stand up time. They eventually moved to bongo drums. I don't know what they do now

I've taken 3 counter offers at the same company. Will probably do it again if my current job search goes well. In a company like mine you can't just ask for a raise and expect to get it. However, if a key resource resigns wheels s

It's not an apple jab. I really hate when cameras stick out the back of phones. I'm actually complaining about my Galaxy S6 if that matters. Most manufacturers do it though.

The camera doesn't stick out the back of the phone and become the main contact point for all surfaces. This is true innovation :)

I would be afraid to ask some people in the US to refill their washer fluid. It will end up in the coolant or possibly oil. Although some diesel owners can apparently handle refilling the AdBlue tank or the dealer handles it.

On a keto diet you can still consume a good amount of fiber (in the form of green veggies or supplements) and a serving or two of berries. Most other fruits contain too much sugar though. To the original point, if you consume fruit you&#x27
