Here's some raw data: http://www.data.gov.uk/ They're working on releasing more, plus APIs, etc. It takes time.

As somebody who's currently making a web app that makes use of a variety of form input types, HTML5 form inputs are great. I would also add a recommendation for Select2 - http://ivaynberg.github.io/select2 - "Sele

The UK market is probably one of the most 'advanced' in terms of online viewing of TV and movies (thanks in large part to the popularity of the iPlayer). There's a mix of things; multi-platform free VoD (iPlayer, 4oD, ITV), multi-platform s

There's product placement in some programmes, for example the Netflix-produced House of Cards contains jarring product placement for the Playstation Vita.

If he was there to wield influence, he's not done very well this time - otherwise why would the BBC report on possible foul play by his former company? Why would they explicitly mention his connection with the BBC?

It's cheaper to operate and improve upon (by combining various websites into one over time), it's demonstrably clearer and easier to use than the current DirectGov site(s) - see their design principles here: https://www.gov.uk/designprinci

I think that's one of the main motivations behind it (the realisation that most people enter [government] websites via search engines). They've designed the pages to be clearer for those use cases - you can read their thoughts and motivati

This is a dangerous precedent to set. I have a (very bad) feeling that once TalkTalk has done this, other ISPs will start to. Soon it will become 'the norm'. This sort of system, once in place, will end up being abused and used for blocking

I really like this project. One of the few things that the government seems to be getting right at the moment. If you've not already seen them, the BBC's design guidelines are also very good (though obviously somewhat different in scope):
