I think the strongest evidence of this is functional vs imperative paradigms. It’s rare to find a functional programmer who didn’t have something like lisp or Haskell as their first language.

Command ` (or Command ~) switches between app windows. You can also use exposé, recently renamed to mission control to view all app windows. It looks like the default key binding for application windows is Control-↑ and for all windows is C

I wonder how big the hit is from paid app installs via facebook ads. This is a much bigger market than a lot of people understand, and it's nontrivial to track conversions unless you have that mobile app ID.

I can buy a book directly on the Amazon iOS app, but I can't buy an ebook. That seems like the most fundamental problem to me and a clear case that this is anticompetitive behavior.

I assume you're arguing here that this is "no big deal", but I think it's disingenuous at best to assume that no wind turbine installation has ever had problems with noise pollution, especially in the infrasound region.

Agree with you 100% on textile care symbols. Emoji were certainly written language prior to unicode, but their expansion is unquestionably political since there is no well-defined "natural expression" of emoji that don't exis

I felt this in my bones. I’ll tell a doctor that almost anything I eat makes me feel bad, and when I don’t eat anything at all (which of course is not sustainable), I have amazing amounts of energy and can actually think clearly. Then I ge

whales didn't evolve wayfinding in the presence of large underwater sound cannons like ships' engines. it seems to me that this is a fear response, as if the whale considers the ship to be some kind of über apex predator.

Where can you file for sales tax reimbursement? Essentially all online resale sites (eBay, Reverb, etc.) are charging sales tax on secondhand goods. So if I buy something, then sell it later, that first purchase should be considered a "

RF coex will always be an issue, and it's especially bad when you bury a dongle with a tiny inefficient antenna in a mess of shielded high speed data cables (thunderbolt, displayport, ethernet, USB, etc.)

your dongle wouldn't use the USB 3.0 SS lines, they would be inactive, so it is not active interference that is the problem here.
