Papers come with their own tldr. It's not because people are lazy, but because that's all most people reading it actually need. This is in contrast to many op-eds, blog posts, and even news articles, which intentionally make it ha

There are students everywhere who are graded unfairly. Certainly punishing students who break the ethical rules of the school or terrorize the classroom with a failing grade is not the appropriate response, though many of such students prob

My undergraduate courses had professor evaluations. Using these evaluations unilaterally to fire professors is ridiculous, considering the varying incentives students have, the various reasons that professors end up teaching the courses the

I think if you were actually tasked with finding a plainer way to express the fact, you would have no trouble. When Albert says I don't know when Cheryl's birthday is, but I know that Bernard does not know too , consider There a

Can anyone explain why the data charges are set up how they are? Why have you choose a "plan" in increments of $10 and then refund/charge you (per MB?) for going under/over your "plan"? Why not just charge you

Thanks. For me, unlimited data for $25 with Republic vs 1GB for $30 with Fi doesn't make a big difference. But being able to tether is a differentiator.

Well done! In nearly all of my exchanges with ACUMAN, the bot responds in the negative. I assert something, and ACUMAN simply disagrees, which prevents any requirement for meaningful discourse. Any insights into why this is the case? Is thi

This is a really important point. Setting up a standing workstation is similar to setting up a sitting workstation: you probably need monitor risers and a keyboard tray for maximum ergonomic fit. Alternatively, when you're not on a key

There's something charmingly robotic to me about the removal of the 12 (things) and 12 (years), which is appropriate according to the rules but ruins the title. Maybe the best way for AI to regularly pass the Turing test is for humans

It seems to me like pre-OOP Python. I'm not a fan of overusing classes, and a lot can be accomplished in Python without them. But from one perspective, you're just reimplementing (a subset of) classes and preferring to type out th
