Very nice. You (at least I) would not think of France as having a good Open Source presence, but they do. Over the years I have heard of many good Open Source Projects coming out of France. I sometimes wonder if it is because of French vs

I have been seeing the trend of Fantasy slowly taking over SF for a while, maybe as long as 30 years :( Real Science based SF seems to have disappeared completely, at least based upon the only Book Store left in my area, Barnes and Noble.

That is a shame, I figured Harris would be the last small shop left. Unfortunately, I have seen a few family owned shops taken over by a "large" company, namely Trek. Others have just closed. I only know of one or 2 family owned

Exploitation is to make the exploitor rich, not to make the exploitee rich. But from what I understand Mexico could be a bit better off then it was decades ago. But looking at history, the US took big chunks of land from Mexico in the 1800s

Not that it was already out that with past breaches. One example was the Experian breach, anyone who applied for a loan was already out there. Never mind all the other too many to count breaches that have occurred. Just now with DOGE we

I am not talking about rich, but exploation. The US kind of exploits Korea, Taiwan for cheap labor.and goods. Pakistan was on/off a US ally, same for Egypt. Both at different times were aligned with USSR/Russia, bouncing between

Korea was propped up by the US due to the Cold and Korea Wars. Taiwan due to the cold War too. Both are still being supported by the US. Singapore was owned by the UK and was ignored left alone due to the fact of its size. So it was able

Our current world system is based on exploitation by the powerful on the weak. It has been this way since the dawn of time at many levels. So now, powerful countries take resources from less powerful countries. There are many ways this c

I would, but one of the main keys stopped working. It is a very old solar scientific calculator and large for a calculator. If I could open up the case without cracking it I would attempt a repair, but I know I would end up breaking it :(

FWIW, I tend to think eventually everything will. But I am more worried about Wayland than systemd for the *BSDs. AFAIK, all systemd does is start items KDE needs, so with some work I think workarounds can be created. But, once Firefox ch

I would love to know were IBM is on this. They use sudo everywhere, even on AIX. Not to mention IBM owns Red Hat Linux. IBM should be able to send a decent amount to Todd once in a while, but based upon how much IBM supports ssh ($0), a
