It was reported that Assange had a “panic button”. The report said that he had directly threatened the government of Ecuador with with retaliation if anything happened to him. I don’t have a link handy, but it shouldn’t be hard to find. The

Do you know anything about Java? I'm not trying to be insulting. Java has its problems, but your points are so far off the mark. Applets haven't been a thing for 20 years and I'm not sure they were a thing then either. Do you

Not exactly true that advertising allows publishers not to pander to a specific audience. A couple times every year we see advertiser boycotts demanding some host be fired because he or she said something a part of the audience didn’t like.

Not really. It’s a fairly short list of organizations with the means and the motivation. If you’re already spying on them it’s not hard to pick up on changes in communication, movements or even catch them red handed on a recorded line.

Someone on the margin of affording a rental in SF isn’t homeless. They live someplace else that costs less. Why should taxpayers foot the bill to build more homes with the goal of making SF marginally more affordable when there are plenty o

You think people are homeless because there is not enough housing available in the city? How many homes do you think you could build on the same plot of land as a basketball arena? Several hundred? Maybe a thousand condos? That’s like spitt

Never had that problem. I'm certainly not going to preemptively switch from iPhone to Android - which has a laundry list of its own problems far larger than the lack of a headphone jack - in order to avoid an issue that may or may not

I couldn’t care less about those features. I’ve never met anyone who says they would buy a new iPhone if only it had those features. The problem is the iPhone has been so good for a few iterations now. There is absolutely no reason to buy a

It does with Dish/Sling. Fox has been blacked out multiple times on Dish. There is nothing inherently wrong with ATT or the fact that they own HBO that caused this. They want to raise prices and Dish doesn’t want to pay. This is how Di

I have no idea. In any case, Jobs never would have allowed it. The iTunes Store has the optimal purchasing process that happened to be covered by Amazon’s patent. They took the cheap way out. That same UX morphed into the AppStore after the

Us old timers remember what was happening at the time. It turns out it was an incredible deal for both sides. The 1-click patent didn't have a great deal of credibility at the time. Many people in the tech industry were railing against

I think you are missing the point. The whole conversation about what something should be trading at is stupid. It is worth what it actually trades at. If it wasn't worth the trading price then it wouldn't trade at that price. What it should
