This was a surprisingly easy read for a non-computer science person. Thanks for sharing.

I haven't a clue, but if this one is ever solved, it will be an engineering story for the ages. Good luck

I was a heavy smoker for 18 years before I quit. It has been decades since then, and I sometimes look back at myself at that age and sometimes think "what a destructive product to allow on the market given that the upsides are so littl

If you can afford the fees, more power to you. Learning for the sake of learning is not a bad thing after all. If you can't afford the fees and have to borrow money, take a second to consider doing this when you are 65 and tuition is (

This is encouraging to see, as Science has, at times, become illiberal, attacking those who challenge the conventionally accepted view. This shows that (at least in this field), Scientists are capable of introspection and eager to let the d

RIP those who perished - I can't imagine the horror of feeling the ground vanish beneath me. I only hope for their sakes that they died instantly and felt no pain. Thousands of workers who's livelihoods depend on this port being o

That is a great feat, of course, however, the bigger issue will be war experience. No matter how many drills they do, there is something to be said for actual combat experience. If I were magically given a fantastic guitar, I would likely s

I agree with your larger point, but I think the article was referring to how content moderation supported Reddit's goal of going public. From that perspective, it is irrelevant whether the good subreddits stay or leave, or which modera

Wow! The optics of a nation unable to control its borders during election season should be giving Biden heartburn. If immigration is a Federal Issue, he is going to own this problem at a time when 10K votes could swing a state into Trump&#x

Why not target a fast-food application, where taking orders would have no liability implications? The $9/hr would be far less than the $15/hr some of the more liberal states have set as minimum wage.

Why target a regulated industry like nursing, I wonder? Wouldn't it be easier to use AI in, say, a drive through window at a fast-food joint? No liability could be a big upside, and the universe of conversations at the drive through wo
