I'm not pumping anything. I haven't shilled for anything. I've never told you to buy anything. But if you believe ETH is the original chain, you're simply wrong -- and technically you are actually the one shilling ETH.

You've claimed ETC was the fork. It wasn't. ETH was the fork, ETC is the original chain.

ETH was a hard fork with the sole purpose of rolling back the DAO fuckup. Your comments are nonsensical and completely uninformed on this topic.

ETC is the original chain. The current ETH was the forced hard fork to roll back the fuckup that was the DAO.

I've spent many hours staring at a radar scope, and fixing and maintaining those radars.

Eth costs 40 bucks per transaction, tezos costs something like ten cents.

You could use a smart contract on the Tezos blockchain to do it easily enough. Might not be smart -- volatility cuts both ways and things don't always go up...

It's a fork. By definition.

Vitalik and company have zero history in the proof of stake game, and what little security history they do have is pretty much awful. So I'm not too worried about what they have to say about things. If it's not something he copi

Which chain was left as the result of that fork? If the earlier chain is abandoned, then the new chain by default becomes the valid chain.

The miners are holding the original chain. They have a massive incentive to do so, as the forked chain Vitalik creating puts them completely out of business. Vitalik et al are trying to force a fork, as they did when they left the original

What are you talking about? The fork that left ETC as the original chain was a rollback of the chain that destroyed the concept of its immutability for the purpose of fixing a massive financial mistake. There were no other chains left as a

That’s not how it works. The people who hold the majority of the stake are the majority, not the minority.

ETH is a fork, ETC was the original chain. ETH 2.0 is a proposed fork. Describing things accurately should be the norm.

No, mining is gone in a proof of stake chain.

Vitalik is trying to fork ETH and create a new coin that is POS. The miners are trying to keep it from forking.

Sure it will. It will just involve 51% of the stake pools instead of 51% of the miners.

Not with ADA or Tezos. Bottom line, ADA is a proof of stake chain. It is upgraded in place based on proposals and consensus of stake pools. Same thing with Tezos. ADA hasn't fully rolled out all the features of the ETH blockchain yet

I believe that was disabled in the protocol long ago because it was deemed to be a security risk.

Precisely. Vitalik wants to fork ETH (as he's done before when they rolled back the DAO hack) to make a new version of ETH that is proof of stake. The miners, as I've predicted here before, disagree, because this fork obliterates

You still have to have a ton of power. You won't generate all that outside of a power grid unless you own your own hydro dams or something.

That's technically true. But. A 50% attack has the problem that an attacker with enough hash power to do it has enough hash power to simply mine on chain legitimately and create blocks and get 50% of the block reward and make tons of

Bitcoin and Ethereum are both legacy blockchains. There are many contenders. XTZ and ADA are both technologically far beyond what BTC or ETH can ever be.

Most miners are on hydro, located right next to the dams, and probably colluding with them for either zero or near zero cost. Similar advantages to nuclear I'd imagine.
