Looks promising and it is about time that they modernized the interface to CoreData that was getting really long in the tooth by now. I still prefer Realm though. It has a much more flexible days model and I can use it both on iOS and Andro

How do you deal with security? In modern databases like MongoDB permissions are granular down to the field level. The same query could produce wildly different result based on the user issuing them, and the caching somehow has to take that

We only have mobile apps, so I can’t speak for web apps, but for us Realm ( https://realm.io/ ) has been amazing. The Local API’s are a joy to work with. The capabilities of the local database makes Firebase look like a toy,
