The US may ban export of GPUs to China, but a GPU is not enough to build a training rig. You need memories, and hundred of smaller components. China has the ability to produce every component which goes in a computer. Can the US do the same

Hi! Sorry to be late to the party. I don't really understand how relational programming relates to discrete optimization and constraint programming. I did several MOOCs on discrete optimization and I understand how a constraint solver

Hi Matt, Since you're here I have a quick question. I did not do my homework so please excuse if that's too general or stupid. How does Fidget differ from libfive and Ao, functionality wise? Thanks in advance.

On my side I prefer Dell Latitudes and Fujitsu Siemens, which only makes "professional" laptops. I agree with the keyboards, however really good keyboards have totally disappeared now. That said a used laptop is perfect for web br

I remember my father born in 44 occasionally talking of this accident in the 80's or 90's, well when I was young, including the depiction of a child who was cut in half as he was sitting on his father's shoulders.

I recently prepared a small presentation to explain my job to kids in secondary school. I realized many of the products I have worked on are completely obsolete and most of them lie in garbage somewhere. Of course I still fondly remember th

I would love to have time to study those topics. However when I have spare time and I could devote a whole day to study, I realize my attention span does not make it. So to anyone reading this, my advice is not to wait for retirement. I am

The article made me smile by how much disconnected to reality it is: - kids give their assignments to AI so that it solves it for them, not for getting a hint. - it has long been demonstrated human interaction is required to learn difficult

Tinnitus is not a disease, it is a symptom. Do you know the underlying condition? If not this should be your priority. It is not easy to have a clear diagnostic when the only symptom is tinnitus (often associated with hearing loss). Some ot

Thanks for this comment. I would add restricting chat to 17+ people sounds utterly unfeasable considering how its use is widespread by teenagers of all ages.

I agree with the OP over the last 5 years . I think he/she's right and it is not an effect of being depressed or what. Over the last 5 years , wealth distribution, general wellness, world order, SW reliability have all declined.
