  Yeah it makes sense for their respective industries. There’s no dramatic manufacturing breakthroughs between a Model 3 and a Model S, just features and material quality, with the S having lower quantities at a higher profit margin. Going back further there’s the Roadster, and it’s a good thing that was a niche vehicle because they hadn’t settled on the Supercharger design yet.
