Also there are some GPS / location helper stuff that grafene proxies through its own servers by default, but you can switch to google's.

Yeah this is surprising to me too. Also, you can contribute to osm if a street was missing. The complaint about having to download the map seems unreasonable too. It downloads the world map and then the local map and you're done. Gener

I've used high Velcro tape advertised as high strength but always it seems the adhesive is the weak point. The Velcro is quite strong but one surface will end up detaching from the tape itself.

Yeah I almost feel like it is tongue in cheek / a joke. Doesn't seem like a real service, what employee would risk their job for a few hundred dollars. Maybe it is a dig at how the customer support for these huge companies is so p

I'm not sure they intended flow meters to be an analogy for mortgages. But rather flow meter factories to be an anology for banks that create mortgages. Flow meters or any other widget are needed by many different industries but probab

I remember seeing some video where they did a FT of an audio sample and then just used mspaint to remove some frequency component and transformed back to the audio / time domain. Something along those lines anyway.

OK, it deals with some of these subjects. But even saying that much is kind of a spoiler. It's a great read, IMO.

Yeah most of the stuff like AI doesn't concern me. It's a good product so I pay for it. Personally I think the t-shirts look great and I'd love one. The only thing that concerned me in that article was the disregard and /

First child was terrible, she preferred having a bit of space I think, and she would flip around in the bed so you'd be constantly woken up with a foot in the face etc. Second child did like to sleep in the bed and still does, though n

What the parent comment is suggesting is every second night one person gets a solid night sleep. It's a great strategy for survival. We did this a lot with our second child and still so sometimes if there is a patch of disrupted sleep.

Yeah I do like the idea of hosting it myself. If there was a KOReader integration it would be amazing. But if its self hosted, then that integration could simply be a SFTP / SSH server that accesses the files.

Yeah Pimsleur does tend to focus on travel scenarios. Though I find it does a good job of actually getting phrases into your head and getting you thinking in the language. Looking forward to trying out this approach.

I don't play any computer games these days and haven't since I was a kid. But I can confirm that pixel dungeon is an exception, I have lost many hours to it, but it has been years since I've played it. IIRC shattered is a for
