Yeah, my old kobo clara hd fits in my pocket, but it's not perfect, feels like it would get damaged. I had been looking at the clara bw when I thought my hd was broken but managed to repair it. Do you have the X4 or X3? I imagine with

I'm not convinced on the price. It's about 75 euro delivered for me. It's about half the price of a kobo Clara bw, which has much better specs, higher ppi, waterproof etc. I am tempted though.

Where I live, an sms app is not very important. It's almost exclusively used for two factor authentication messages. Everyone uses WhatsApp, signal, telegram etc, even businesses and services. So having a bare bones aosp messaging app

Wow, I'm usually the first to complain about buggy software and bad UX. But I use spotify on android and linux and I have no issues. Everything works really well? I can manage playlists, play on one device, control on another etc.

Monero is fascinating. I downloaded the spec and tried to digest it, but the mathematics and cryptography are quite dense, at least for a casual read. I might try to tackle it again when I can give it some more attention.

IIUC the rotating challenge actually didn't have anything to do with the key, it was a red herring. The actual decryption key was just a function of the fixed serial number or something like that.

I tried opencode and pi recently. Having come from Claude code, I was a bit shocked that both seem to allow edits by default with no confirmation dialog. One IIRC allows you to enable it in config and the other needs a plugin.

I've seen a lot of code that just assumes fread / fwrite succeeded without bothering to check the return value... But in this case if the code was calling fread 65536 times in a loop and getting 64KiB each time it wouldn't be
