I'm surprised with some of the responses you've received on this. But I absolutely know what you are talking about. I often SSH into new machines, that I may not have root access on, that may not even have internet access, or be a

Thanks for the link, weasyprint for converting markdown to some presentation format looks cool, similar to pandoc but maybe more customizable? Just to point out, in the original post, the author does end up using weasyprint, as the tools he

I've looked at plenty of perl and even maintained a little, but never fully grokked it, not implemented something from scratch in it. Though I understand what you are saying, I sometimes feel the same with combinations of awk, sed, and

In an actual .cpp compilation unit, I'd probably write it like that. In a header it's generally advised to not add using namespaces. However, I appreciate the grandparent comment including the namespaces in the example, so I can s

Yeah, there's a line you don't want to cross. When I used to ride a motorcycle, I remember lots of riders used to advise having your full lights on when driving during the day, so you were more noticeable to motorists. However, I

I think the key thing is that these permanent procedures should not be performed on children / minors. Personally, I was a very different person at 15 to 20 to 25. I don't really think a young person can make a rational decision o

Would that mean that amazon.fr / amazon.de would be required to provide that information? I've never noticed it, maybe it's not in an obvious place.

It's been a while since I've read the original paper, but that is my recollection of it. That if a new team takes on a codebase, they are rebuilding the theory and reviving the program. The new theory may not be exactly the same a

Have you tried vi mode in bash? "set -o vi" I think. Then you can use vi(m) commands, modal editing, even press v to drop into a full vim instance for doing more advanced editing of a command line. It's amazing.
