When the ESP8266 successor, the ESP32 comes out you'll be set: https://www.sparkfun.com/news/2017 For now, you can always buy your own bluetooth LE modules and attach them to a small microcontroller, for buttons,

Or at least use `replaceState` not `pushState`. I scrolled from the top of the page down one section and when I hit back it just went right back to the top of the page.

As stated in the full comment thread here we limit ads for users above 200 reputation. That puts it right between "Vote down" at 125 reputation and "View close votes" at 250. Funny enough, we often get asked to implement

Shared vocabularies are hard :) My definition of trivial is "I can do it in less than half a day", which I've done this exact thing with before (to be able to navigate our office via our indoors Street View map)

Uh, I have experience with VR, a year of experience in Unreal Engine 4, and used to work professional as a game developer, so yes :) You gotta keep in mind this is 2D projections too, not real 3D models, all it is is wrap-around images serv

Building realistic looking modes of the real world is a lot harder than building graphics in games like that looked, the last time I played one.

Agreed - It seems trivial to build a Street View API integration into Unity or Unreal Engine 4.

I remember those days vividly, what's different here is the Alexa Skills list is sorted alphabetically so this fart app is what every single person who enters the "store" sees first.

You're definitely right that we don't actually know what checks they're prioritizing, but it's hard for me to believe they're actually doing any quality checking when this is the #1 skill you see in the app: http:&

For what it's worth as of SDK 0.6.0 of the Oculus you can no longer use it as an extended display. Prior to 0.6.0 you could run the Oculus in either "Extended" mode which just made it show up as an extra monitor, or in "

I'm not saying there's an agenda or any advertising. This is just an example of one of my pet peeves about the Android ecosystem as a developer on it, low level "power users" who don't really know what they're

Like others said, it's most likely using the phone's contacts as its primary data source (which makes sense, you're encouraged to do this on Android so you don't have segmented contacts in every app) -- This definitely r

Just anecdotal evidence: The two e-mails y'all have sent since I signed up have caused a pavlovian response, I literally left my office and sat down on a couch to read your last e-mail the second I saw it in my inbox.

First of all: Alexa is a she. Secondly: i've done a _lot_ of e-mails in the past. I've handcoded tables for e-mails, I've used Zurb's templates, I've used Zurb's Ink, I run my own SMTP server and used to run tr

We did consider Ghost, I love it and it would've given us uploading images to S3 for free, but static files and being able to use any markdown editor you want won over.

This is great! You should consider doing some sort of palette generation to make the back cover not just be white -- maybe find the most common color on the front and use a complementary color as the background.
