I’m surprised by the level of comp, is that correct $300k+? I assume that’s not all salary?

Yeah I my argument is that those tools are ok but a bit inadequate. Certainly not first class solutions. It’s just a thought, I’m not sure it would open up a world of possibilities but there could be more rigorous ways on showing how the lo

I feel like the programming tools haven’t kept up and so to do this we also need immutable requirements and impeccable programmers. Currently if I change the code in my application it gives different results. I’m not sure if there is a word

I don’t mind it but it is so middle class. This needs to be supplemental to a class about staying in school, away from drugs and alcohol and not getting pregnant.

I think if you’re lucky to work with smart people just being in the environment can be fulfilling and enjoyable for the atmosphere even if you’re not directly learning anything. But for actual learning I don’t think the office environment a

Thats difficult if like in North America you’ve spent the last hundred years building your cities from scratch to suit cars and feel nice and spacious.

Well maybe the daily commute isn’t light usage and therefore isn’t the best case for pay as you go. There are plenty of other use cases that fit really nicely, replacing a taxi for a night out, occasional long journeys, times when you’re fe

I think the majority (80% I’d guess) prefer to have the requirements come from someone else. To be honest I’ve worked with many people who would always say there isn’t enough ‘design’, as if the classes and methods should be written out for

GTD style in Outlook tasks. I find it hard to record things in there though. I find myself just using my memory or writing in a text file a lot of the time and using the Outlook tasks as a record of the important items.

It plays a role, sure. There will be significant diminishing returns though. What I’m suggesting is there are other factors at play here that are way more important than a few extra IQ points. Completing a significant project isn’t one dime

No it is completely different the analogy doesn’t work. Coding isn’t running.

I would say an innate talent for ‘coding’ is a relatively minor factor. What is very rare to see is people showing the level of responsibility and grit to get on by themselves and build something. Also in a business setting it is unheard of

There’s got to be a large market for that given the entire elderly population is offered a flu shot every year. Doing that as a one off would be a huge cost saving.

Go for a boil a frog approach. Figure out what you can reasonably ask for and then ask for a more. See what you land on through that negotiation and then gradually increase it. If they’re really reluctant just say “how about we trial it for

In my mind it’s a monopoly to have a closed league. While the NBA does well on per team basis there are hundreds of teams in the “football economy” in Europe. The overall basketball economy is smaller than it might be in an open system. But

Dell XPS is seriously overrated. I’m not surprised at the comments. To be fair the latest XPS I have hasn’t been to bad but still the touchpad sucks, I don’t know how much of the other gremlins are due to Dell or if they’re Windows or bugs

I don’t think that’s a problem. The tactics aren’t all zero sum. For example just talking to the other party to find out what they want other than the main thing they’re asking for.
