I have a spreadsheet that I use for some simple things. The problem for me is that I suck at recording the data. I try to solve that by making the data collection passive (or observant). The GPS comment above is along the same lines. Exampl

I wish it had video interaction. Record a video of me "doing nothing" for 2 minutes, and let people watch them at watchpeopledonothingfor2minutes.com I wonder how many people cheat.

We ( http://getbizen.com ) received seed funding from JumpStart Foundry ( http://jumpstartfoundry.com ) and have been incubating at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center ( http://entrepreneurcenter.com ). The combination has been amazing. JumpS

Also, it would be foolish to think that Facebook isn't also aware of this analogy. I am certain they are looking at how AOL lost their stronghold and working to correct those mistakes. That is likely the driving force behind FB's willingn

I think so. I am not HTTP expert, but my understanding is that a 301 is a RESPONSE not a REQUEST. What is most certainly happening is that Twitter is making a HEAD request to URLs to see if a redirect is happening. The http redirect is a RE

I really like it here in Nashville, TN and the cost of living is lower than most of the other cities mentioned. We have a lot of momentum behind tech entrepreneurship here right now too.

Why mobile? I own two retail franchises. What I want from a loyalty program is for it to be passive based on the credit card and deeply integrated with my point of sale. I care less about having a website than appearing favorably and access

I didn't want to complicate the poll. If HN is not your primary source of news, then it is a "no". If you don't have a "primary" source, then it is a "no".

I don't care how much memory my software is using. I care if it is performant and if it is using resources in a cost-effective manner. With Heroku I just add the New Relic plugin and I have quick access to most of the information I need to

I think you are on the wrong side of history on this one. Like the people who lamented the lack of MS Dos in Windows XP or package managers in linux (I mean, if you can't ./configure;make;make install; then you shouldn't be running linux).

That is pretty useful. Can you not create affiliate accounts with other registrars? I hate to have registrar fragmentation. So, when your tool suggested dashbiz.com, I bought it through godaddy.

Music lives in the cloud too. I have several well-defined Pandora stations. I listen to some other sources as well (WWOZ, bassdrive.com, etc). I used to argue for hosting my own email, now I don't even "host" my own music.

I think this points out how arbitrary software versioning is. If you ask me, Dropbox is way past a "1.0" release. In honesty, this sounds more like a "Snow Leopard" than a "Cheetah". (meaning that it is under the hood performance tweaks, no
