There may be some SEO benefit for people to have their name in the URL?

I noticed that they basically invited people who asked them publicly on twitter (at least that is how I did it). I like my about.me. Just wish they offered a couple of more services (mostly tungle.me). http://about.me/jacksonmiller

Spot on. I have an HTC Aria from AT&T that is still on 2.1. It is an awesome piece of hardware, but I use my iPhone most days because of the old Android OS.

That would be particularly cool if Heroku added a "staging environment" to test the code prior to deployment.

Aren't you associated with the project? Your SO went through the regular channel? BTW, quick question: Are the Chrome team using these for development? Like a self-hosting compiler :)

Yes, as I said in the initial post, I know that is possible, but it misses the point. This requires a host that you want to develop on and as I move more to the cloud (i.e. hosting on Heroku), I am less likely to have a server to SSH into.

All of the images on that page are broken (in Safari). That doesn't exactly instill confidence.

I thought it was interesting that Heroku was specifically mentioned in the Database.com announcement yesterday. Made me think there was some sort of deeper integration. I meant to go to Heroku yesterday and see if there was a database.com p

Thanks for the post. I just had a phone call that hurt my momentum a little (at least in my head). Time to regroup :)

This comment made me try it out. I do wish I was a better typist. Maybe this is the kind of thing I could do in my spare time instead of playing Angry Birds.

I was planning to launch http://getbizen.com in November. In some ways it is a success. The site it up, I can accept new customers, there is a product (a BI dashboard for franchisees). However, I got a little sidetracked because I had fun

I was really hoping they had men's suits. I wear a somewhat difficult to find suit size and would love for Google to provide me one place for OTR suits in my size.

I wouldn't partner with him. I am assuming you are already incorporated, is he a partner or not? If not then I don't see a reason to not cut ties. If you do decide to do business with him, vest his shares. Good luck with your meeting :)

Actually, Google does this too. When I search for "the scene" the first result is a local alt weekly (The Nashville Scene). It is kind of off-topic, but I think search rankings are now less a indication of authority and more an indication
