You're not answering the question of how people from Fresno can easily get to SF or LA. Traveling from city center to city center is also a far less stressful way to travel, and you can do things like work on a train that make TAXI -&g

Reading the comments, I think most of you miss actual realistic complaints of the author. 1) UWP apps are absolutely horrible to debug. They use some kind of COM broker layer to deliver the majority of very cryptic framework level exception

I don’t know, I think the iPad as a serious content creation device, something an FTP client would help with, never really materialized. Apple keeps trying but it’s not there.

Yet, what Safari is, is competition. Also let's not forget that it gave the world WebKit and broke us free from the trap that was Flash.

I think that’s the key point, to learn. So many tech companies make management the only way to continue getting promoted. Then they don’t offer any way for employees to learn how to be a good manager. So they’re left to learn by doing.

To a point that is correct. For simple button actions that trigger a web request and display content, I would agree the knowledge is there and available. For any deeper skillset, photo manipulation, live camera, geospatial or map related co

Every single platform has their 1-line hello world example. iOS has storyboards, Windows has XAML, Linux has QT components. If all you need is an action button to trigger some underlying code, then those hello-world products are very simple

Something I think the article misses to point out are the cliques that form with the groups who appear to execute well under the tyrant vs the groups who are sabotaged. The colleagues who feel sabotaged become resentful and then make it har

I don't know if that's universally true. Some of my best work has been under tyrants. I think as long as we have shared expectations and the "tyrant" genuinely believes in the success of the project, I do not think you s

Look I don't want to beat a dead horse, but Microsoft has no one else to blame but themselves. The launch version was a great early adopter MVP and moved the entire mobile industry to a content first paradigm (flat UI). However, they n
