The #1 reason React works for me is that the UI and code are in the same file. It's so easy to go back and refactor changes when everything is right there. The natural composability you get from that over time is such a huge win in pro

A fun thought, Apple could acquire Sublime to compete with Visual Studio Code. It's native the way Apple loves native. It's already the favorite tool of developers all over the world.

I think it's hilarious that the comments in here suggest Facebook gets in the way of quality of life because of the way it captures your attention. Yet, then they spend a large amount of time on this site practicing another form of tox

Something untouched in the article, or at least I missed it, both companies I've worked at have seen declining iPad users. My interpretation is that for people that love the device, LOVE it. For people that thought it was going to be a

I think anyone paying attention knows the world went from lots of phpBB community websites straight over to Reddit. Reddit is hideous, but man, it's easy to use, and accessible. I don't think I ever saw a successful community run

That's not entirely fair or accurate to call them out on lack of skill. Many of the drivers I've met along the way over the years have all enjoyed the flexibility. College kids making extra party/food money, stay at home moms

Delphi had its place in 2001 along with NeXT's WebObjects. Products of their time for sure. However, the developer inspectors alone inside of Chrome and Safari are 100x more powerful than any of those old UI tools of the past.

I'd be curious to see how this compares to CoreText on Mac and DirectWrite on Windows. Both are highly tuned for their respective platform so I'd see them as baseline.

How about we try not to shame liberals? This is a community and we should all be respectful of each other. Don't take comments of a president current or past so personally.

Even still, those $20-100M companies still get bought out by bigger conglomerates. If you look just at Google and Facebook's acquisition list, it's pretty much all the deals they did the last 2 years.
