My first *nix was Microsoft Xenix on a TRS-80 / Tandy 6000. I think we had 6 terminals attached to it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TRS-80#Model_16.2C_Model_16B.2C...

I know he considers Android's .X releases major, but in case you don't: iOS 4.X: 89.73 % Android 2.X: 87.4% Of course, it's hardly the fault of the Android users. If it wasn't for cyanogen and a couple hours of work I wouldn't even be on 2.

At a glance, I like it. Hard to compete with Traineo and SparkPeople though. Maybe if you carved off different niches of weight loss with sub-micro sites, with things like "losing the baby weight" or "people over 400 pounds" etc. You might

I shouldn't even attempt to recap the story, but it's really interesting to look at how Bezos selected books. He wanted something with a lot of unique products/SKUs that was cheap enough for people to try buying online for the first time. B

I've thought that since Borders originally partnered with Amazon. But that would give Amazon a local presence and eliminate their advantage of not having to collect sales tax. If the "internet sales tax" was ever imposed, brick-and-mortar A

Borders regularly emails out coupons for 33% off of a single item. That brings their price closer to Amazon. http://www.bordersmedia.com/coup/20110111sa33.html?cmpid=SL_...

As a book lover, I'm happy in either store, but Borders has always been my preference. They always seemed to carry more titles and somehow feel to me like less of a big corporate store. (I'm a little biased, having spent quite a bit of time

For the most part I like the Flickr UI. It takes a bit to understand photostreams, sets, collections, and group pools, and the online organizer is a little different. But for the most part it's efficient and is broken a lot less of the time

I've paid for a Flickr pro account for a few years now. Ironically, I first got on Flickr when Yahoo Photos shut down and they forcefully migrated me to Flickr. But I'm letting my pro account expire this month. I've been using Flickr for 2

I don't think I've ever had this happen, but my outbound texts on Sprint haven't worked for a week ("invalid number of digits") so I gave up and used Google Voice for texts instead, which is pretty nice as a work-around.

I generally prefer Borders to Barnes-and-Noble because they always seemed to stock more titles. But I almost never buy anything at either of them without one of their 30-50% off coupons, which brings them close to Amazon's price. I can't fi
