I got a "We've detected unusual activity on your account" lockout on my Gmail account this morning. Since I can't find anything suspicious on the account I assume it's just bots hammering away, trying the Gawker password and other guesses.

That's how I finally got it right. Now I just remember that the second arg ("dest") is optional.

Draw new lines over the old lines, then erase. The solvent in the marker works better than any cleaner.

Am I missing something? "... 300-500 ad impressions per day ..." but that's the new app sales per day not the total number of users. If only there was some way to find the area under the sales curve then we could find the total number of us

There are reasonable examples even on the web. There was a time when 'the internet' meant AOL to most people. Creating a web site meant GeoCities. For a couple of years, everyone I know had their home page set to Yahoo. MySpace was the hot

Wasn't the term "face book" in rather common use at many colleges and universities? Isn't that where they got the name? What if they'd called themselves yearbook.com?

There are worse threats. It took me less than 15 minutes to find a decent photo of you, what I think is your work address (zip 60603), possibly your home address (number is 519) and phone number (726 in the middle). I didn't come up with yo

"Eight years after 9/11, why are we still so reactive, so un-Israelified?" Because L-3 / Lockheed Martin / Haliburton / etc. don't sell training in behavior tracking / FACS? Isn't it all just a money-grab by the usual suspects?

I got a 3G Kindle 3 several weeks ago. I find that I mostly use it to read fiction. I'll probably eventually find it good for nice linear nonfiction like autobiographies. That's good because I've really gotten away from reading fiction, ins

Currently going through another effort to fully adopt Scrum at work, I wonder if there isn't a workable way to apply that to personal productivity. GTD "projects" are really "product backlog" items that need regular review and reprioritizat
